Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is optional (taxable)
Purchase of Loss Damage Waiver reduces the renters financial liability (NWE) for damages to the Avis vehicle as a result of an accident, vandalism or theft. The amounts are as follows:
If LDW is accepted, the Non-Waivable Excess (NWE) is 10,000 TTD for all car groups.
If LDW is declined, the customer is liable for the full value for all car groups.
Theft Protection (TP) is included in the purchase of LDW
Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess. Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

Avis Trinidad and Tobago accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, MasterCard and Visa. The charge card hold is the estimated rental charges plus the amount below:

Debit cards are not accepted.
At the time of rental, the driver must present a valid driver's license in the driver's name from their country of residence. Customers presenting a driver's license in a non-Roman alphabet must also present an International Driving Permit (IDP) to serve as a translation in addition to their valid drivers license.
Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.
