Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is optional
Customer is liable for an amount ranging from HKD 25,000 to HKD 60,000, depending on the car group rented, if CDW is not taken. If CDW is purchased, customer's liability is reduced to an amount ranging from HKD 10,000 to HKD 30,000, depending on the car group rented.
Theft Protection (TP) is not available
Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess. Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

A valid driver's license from country of residence is required. License must have been held for at least two consecutive years immediately prior to rental pick-up date. Foreign visitors must also present their valid passport in the driver's name and an International driving permit (IDP) is also required. All forms of documentation must be issued to the same person, in the same name, and presented together at the time of rental.
Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.
Drivers License:
A valid driving license from the renters country of residence must be presented in person at the time of rental. All foreign renters and drivers must also present a valid International Driving Permit (IDP). Both forms of documentation must be issued to the same person, in the same name, and presented together at the time of rental.
