Park & lock the car. Place the completed contract & the keys in the Drop Box located in the Returns area. Remember to take your personal belongings with you.

Optional Coverages

Collision Damage Waiver is optional
Customer is liable for an amount ranging from $20,160.00 to $52,920.00, depending on car group rented, if Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not purchased.  If CDW is purchased, the renter's liability is reduced to an amount ranging from $2,016.00 to $5,292.00, depending on car group rented.

Theft Protection (TP) is optional
Customer is liable for an amount ranging from $2,016.00 to $5,292.00, depending on car group rented, if Theft Protection (TP) is not purchased.  If TP is purchased, the renter's liability is reduced to an amount ranging from $1,089.00 to $2,178.00, depending on car group rented. 

Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess.  Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

Avis Zimbabwe only accepts Visa.  Vouchers are accepted.  Cash is accepted by prior arrangement only.

Debit Card Policies

Debit cards are not accepted.


Drivers License

At the time of rental, the driver must present a valid driver's license in the driver's name from their country of residence.  Customers presenting a driver's license in a non-Roman alphabet must also present an International Driving Permit (IDP) to serve as a translation in addition to their valid drivers license.


Public Liability and Property Damage

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.


Age Requirements

At this location the minumum age is 21 for all car groups, except for car group N (truck), and car groups D and E (intermediate and standard size), for which the minimum age is 25.
