Rent a Car at Aeroporto Internacional de Taiwan-TaoYuan, T2 (TPE)

CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) and TP (Theft Protection) are compulsory and included in the rental cost. Up the NT$2,000,000.00 per person coverage for injuries. The excess amount is approximately between NT$10,000 to NT$50,000 depending on car groups.

SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver) can be purchased at the counter with an amount between NT$400 to NT1,300 depending on car groups, to reduce the excess to zero.

Avis Taiwan accepts America Express, MasterCard, Visa, JCB, Union Pay. Please note that debit card or cash will not be accepted as a payment option.

The validity period must be larger than 6 months.

Debit cards are not accepted.

For locals: Identification and valid driving license. For foreigners during first 30 days or less in Taiwan: Passport. local driver's license issued by renter's country and a valid International Driving Permit(IDP). After your first 30 days in Taiwan, you must apply at the Motor Vehicles Office for an extension of your IDP.

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

If The Renter Fails To Pick Up The Rental Vehicle At The Reserved Time,
We Will Hold The Car For An Additional 4 Hours After Said
Appointed Time. After That, The Reservation Is Considered as No Show, And
Will Be Cancelled. No Show Fee may apply.

Due to coronavirus pandemic the Taiwan Government are constantly updating local regulations regarding face-masks and self-isolation etc. Please note that Avis Budget & Zipcar have no choice but to follow these regulations and require all customers to do the same.  We do look forward to receiving your cooperation and understanding.

Customers are required to refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level upon picking up the vehicle. If a customer chooses not to refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level, they will be charged using the local rate. A full tank of gas is not guaranteed.

Fuel option
Fuel Card will be provided per rental. Should lessees(renter) required petrol top-up, Only use provided Fuel Card for top-up at designated petrol station. Provide receipt of petrol purchased when returning to rental stations. Using any other means of payment (Cash, Credit/Debit Card...etc) will not be reimbursed. Fiill-up the tank before returning the vehicle. If car returned without tank filled up, a NTD 100 service fee will be applied.

Fuel charges
Fuel charges will be settled by station staff according to the distance travelled throughout the rental service. Charges for fuel, will be evaluate and announced per season.

Can I let anyone else drive?

Additional driver must present their valid IDP (International Driving Permit) and inform the counter when picking-up the car at the counter. Additional driver will be charged NT$120 per person. (One additional driver max).
All additional drivers must meet our age, driving licence and ID requirements.
Can I smoke in the vehicle?

Roadside Assistance
What happens if I break down because of a mechanical failure?
All our vehicles are maintained to the manufacturer's standards, and they're roadworthy when you pick them up so mechanical failure in our vehicles is rare. So long as you're using the vehicle in a country we've agreed to, we provide roadside assistance or recovery free of charge. You can only use our roadside assistance provider to help you. You'll find their contact details inside the vehicle.

I want to keep the vehicle for longer, what should I do?
If you want to extend the rental please contact us at booking@avis-taiwan.com or 24/7 hotline +886-2-6620-6620 as soon as possible. If the extension is available, extra fees will be charged and pay with location price.
What happens if I don't extend the rental?
If you fail to extend your rental and are late returning the vehicle, we will charge you for an extra day's rental plus a late return administration fee for each day or part of a day until the vehicle is returned.

Taking the vehicle outside the country is not allowed.
