IF A PREFERRED KIOSK SIGN IS POSTED: If a sign is posted directing Preferred customers to the kiosk located across the street in the parking garage, you may bypass the rental counter & proceed as directed.
IF A PREFERRED KIOSK SIGN IS NOT POSTED: Locate the Preferred line at the rental counter. Show your drivers license to the Avis rental agent in order to receive your preprinted rental document & keys. The rental agent will direct you to your space in the parking garage.
Proceed to the Avis counter in the baggage claim area. Rental cars are parked outside the baggage claim area.
WALK-UP RENTERS
Follow airport signs for "Arrivals" or "Baggage Claim". They will lead to the baggage claim area entrance. Proceed inside to locate the Avis counter. Rental cars are parked outside the baggage claim area.
Lock the vehicle and place the keys in the key drop box for After Hours Returns located in the return area. Don't forget to remove all your belongings from the vehicle prior to returning the keys.
A vehicle that is returned after hours will be checked in when the location opens the next business day. If returning after hours when a location is closed, the customer is responsible for the vehicle until the satisfactory check in of the rental vehicle the next business day.

When returning a car to the Albany International Airport, head toward 737 Albany Shaker Road, Albany, NY 12211. Once you are at the airport, go toward the parking garage and you’ll find a designated area for rental cars. This is also the area where rental cars can be picked up.
