RETURNS: Return the car to the Consolidated Rent-A-Car facility at 5251 W 98th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90045. From the 405, exit onto Century Blvd. From Century Blvd, turn right onto Concourse Way. Follow marked signs for Avis Rental Car Return. The Avis courtesy bus will take you to the terminal.

LAX Airport FAQs
There are several major airports in the Los Angeles area. These include Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), John Wayne Airport in Orange County (JWA), Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR), Ontario International Airport (ONT), Long Beach Airport (LGB), and San Bernardino International Airport (SBD). Avis provides car rentals at almost all of them.
You should arrive at least two hours early for domestic flights out of LAX and at least three hours early for international flights. If you have a rental car to return, which is usually a good idea when traveling to Los Angeles, give yourself a few extra minutes.
Terminals 4–8 are connected by walkways, so you can travel from one to the other without exiting security. If you leave or enter terminals 1, 2, or 3, you will have to exit the secure area and then go through security again when you arrive at the next terminal.
Yes, you can sleep at LAX Airport. It is a busy airport that is open and operating 24 hours a day. While there is a lot of available seating, many of the seats have armrests, which often makes the carpeted floors more comfortable for sleeping.
The letter X in LAX actually has no special meaning. When the airport first opened in 1928, it was simply known as LA. As more airports opened, a three-letter system was adopted, and the Los Angeles airport was given the letter X to complete its new name in 1947.
