Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

Removes renters responsibility for damage of Avis vehicle. CDW is void if driver is intoxicated, if legal speed limits are violated or if police traffic accident report is not submitted.  

Theft Protection (TP) (taxable)
Removes renters responsibility for theft of all or part of the Avis vehicle. Police report is mandatory.

If Collison Damage Waiver is declined, the customer is responsible for the full value of the vehicle. The responsibility can be reduced to 3,000.00 TUL for economic groups/ differs between 3,000.00 TUL and 10,0000.00 TUL for remaining car groups by purchasing CDW.
Responsibility of damage may also be reduced to zero if renter also purchase SCDW together with the CDW and TP.

SUPER Collision Damage Waiver (Super CDW)
140.00 TUL per day for A, B, N, F car groups; 180.00 TUL per day for O, P car group, 230.00 TUL for D, J, H car groups, 290.00 TUL for G,C,L,I,M car groups; 360.00 TUL per day for E car group; 510.00 TUL per day for K car group; reduces excess to ZERO (prices excl VAT)

Theft Protection (TP)
If TP is declined, the customer is responsible for the full value of the vehicle. The responsibility can be reduced to 55000.00 TUL for economic groups/ differs between 55000.00 TUL and 260000.00 TUL for remaining car groups
If a theft protection is purchased, responsibility may also be reduced to zero if renter also purchase SCDW together with the CDW, TP and STP.

SUPER Theft Protection (STP)

110.00 TUL per day for A, B, N, F car groups; 140.00 TUL per day for O,P car group, 180.00 TUL for D, J, H car groups, 230.00 TUL for G,C,L,I,M car groups; 280.00 TUL for car group E; 410.00 TUL per day for K car group; reduces excess to ZERO (prices excl VAT)

Avis Turkey accepts all major credit cards. Debit cards and GEB Billing Credit Cards are not accepted.

Pre-authorizations and Security Deposits

Unless confirmed otherwise, the amount of the pre-authorisation taken on pick-up of the rental vehicle is calculated as follows:

(The vehicle rental price* + Between TUL 3,000.00 and TUL 8,500.00**) MINUS (Any sum you have already paid when making a "Pay Now" booking)

* The "vehicle rental price" includes the vehicle rental cost and all optional extras you've requested, calculated at the start of the rental based on the intended length of the rental. For the avoidance of any doubt, any "Pay at Location" amount you owe in relation to the vehicle rental (including any optional extras) will be included as part of the pre-authorisation and will be charged to you at the end of the rental (using the card provided for the purposes of the pre-authorisation, unless agreed otherwise).

** If you buy our "Fuel Up Front" product, we will reduce the Between TUL 3,000.00 and TUL 8,500.00 by the amount we charge you for the "Fuel Up Front" product
The Between TUL 2,500.00 and TUL 8,500.00 is included as part of the pre-authorisation in case we have to charge you at the end of the rental for any of the following:

i. costs to refuel the vehicle (where relevant).

ii. additional rental charges in circumstances where you fail to return the vehicle or any optional extras at the end of the agreed rental period or to the agreed return location.

iii. any additional charges or fines you incur relating to your use of the vehicle (which we have been notified of prior to you returning the vehicle, which will include, for example, charges relating to traffic violations); and/or

iv. costs incurred as a result of exceeding any relevant mileage restrictions.


Where the pre-authorisation we take does not cover the charges you incur, we will request you make a further payment for the additional amounts owed.

In relation to certain high value vehicles, we may require you to provide us with two payment cards for the purposes of the pre-authorisation. Where this is the case, this will be confirmed when making a booking.

Renters and additional drivers must have held a full driving license for:

• A minimum of one year for A, B, N, F car groups,
• A minimum of two years for D, H, O, J, P, I car groups,
• A minimum of three years for G, C, E, K, L, M car groups.

Each driver must show photographic proof of identity or their passport at the start of the rental. All drivers must present a full and valid driving licence which has been held for at least 1 year. The licence must be valid for use in the renting country.
International customers must show their passport at the begining of their rental. Otherwise due to Turkish regulation and police restrictions car wouldnt be provided. If your licence is in non-roman alphabet you must provide an International Driving Licence.
International driving licence is required for non-Roman alphabet licence holders.

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

The minimum age must be 19 for A, B, N, F car groups, and 23 for O, P car groups, and 25 for H, D, I, J, and 27 for G, L, K, E, C, M car groups.Any renter between 19 & 21 years old is subjected to young driver fee and can only rent A, B, N, F car groups. Any renter between 21 & 23 years old is subjected to young driver fee and can only rent O, P car groups. Any renter between 23 & 25 years old is subjected to young driver fee and can only rent H, D, J car groups. Any renter between 25 & 27 years old is subjected to young driver fee and can only rent G,C, E, M, L car groups.

Young driver fee is TUL 455.00 daily (prices excl. VAT).
