Rent a Car at Papagayo Beach Plaza

Purchase of CDW/LDW relieves the renters financial responsibility in case of loss or damage to the Avis vehicle as result of an accident, incident, vandalism or theft.  The minimum deductible for all car groups is 500.00 USD. If LDW is declined, the customer will be responsible for up to the full value of the vehicle plus additional expenses including an administrative fee, towing expense and time loss (during repair) or disposal fee (in case of total loss). The word theft applies here to state that a rented vehicle must be returned to Avis including tires, tools, equipment, accessories, license plates and documents.  Any such item that is not returned will be considered theft and the value charged to the renter.
If CDW/LDW is not accepted a deposit of 900.00 USD would be required.

NOTE: Theft Protection (TP) is now included in the CDW/LDW. It is not available as a seperate purchase.

Customer may inquire for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance at the time of rental.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

Super coverages are not available.

Avis Curacao accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, Discover Card, Kompa Leon, Mastercard, Visa.

Debit cards are not accepted.

A valid driver's license from country of residence is required.  License must have been held for at least two years immediately prior to rental pick-up date.  International driving permit (IDP) is required only for countries with non-Roman alphabet to serve as a translation.

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Customer renting with an Avis or Avis-honored charge card or travel vouchers at this location the minimum age is 25 for all car groups, except for the following: minimum age is 21 for car groups A, B, C, D, E; minimum age is 23 for car groups F. An under age fee of $10.00 will apply for drivers 21-24 years of age.
